Montserrat Cultural Centre
The Centre was officially opened in May 2007
Construction has been completed and the technical fit out is now finished
though this will continue to develop to meet the demands of the Centre. .


It is the largest and most impressive building on the island and has
become a great asset and focus for the future development of the cultural
and social life of the island situated as it is at the centre of the new town
being developed around Little Bay in the north of the island.!

The Sir George Martin Auditorium has a capacity of over 500 depending
on the configuration  with a balcony for larger events. The auditorium now
has an very impressive state of the art Yamaha digitally managed sound
system, full lighting rig, cinema projector and surround sound equipment
installed.

The main stage is 34'wide & 20'deep(can be extended to 32ft)

The entrance hall has a bar and cafe with display areas for local art and
exhibitions. Above this are administrative offices and a conference room
with IT facilities for meetings,seminars,product launches, revues etc
A recording studio  and production suite is being planned. All the
equipment for this is on island and all the necessary cabling was put in
place during construction.

On the terrace there is a smaller performance area .
